August 22, 2006 - New Means Financial Planning Announces New Service Packages... with Bike Race Theme!

Hollis, NH - Tired of trying to wade through financial services jargon? With the introduction of new bike race-themed service packages like "Tour de 401k" and "Breaking Away," New Means Financial Planning lets consumers make everyday sense of our important services, so they can easily identify the right kind of help for their situation.

"Forced to translate terms like 'risk management' and 'cash flow planning' into concepts that are relevant to them, it's no wonder people have a hard time understanding financial planning," said Sherrill St. Germain, principal and founder of Means Financial Planning.

Others equate 'financial planning' to 'retirement planning' which can limit their view of what financial planning can do for them. "Absolutely, retirement planning is critical, but it's only one of many important goals that financial planning can help people achieve," St. Germain commented.

Since launching in January 2003, New Means has offered custom financial planning tailored to the individual needs of each client and delivered on an hourly, fee-only basis. The new service packages augment this model by providing pre-defined combinations of services commonly needed at different stages of life, describing the kind of client who would benefit from each, and giving an estimate of the cost for that service.

To clarify what each service provides, and just for fun, she's used terms from her favorite sport, bike racing, to describe the new services. Clients can choose services ranging from a "Tour de 401k" and "Pre-Race Conditioning" to a plan for "Breaking Away" from a career that no longer suits them or "Going the Distance" with retirement income.
