NEW YORK - Local financial planner, Sherrill St. Germain of New Means Financial Planning in Hollis, New Hampshire was one of approximately 100 guests at New York’s posh Soho House on June 3rd, celebrating the release of the book Escape from Corporate America: A Practical Guide to Creating the Career of Your Dreams (Ballantine). Author Pamela Skillings recruited St. Germain, her “favorite financial planning expert,” to offer readers key advice for transitioning out of a corporate job.

St. Germain's contribution, in the chapter “Let’s Get Practical,” highlights the fact that pre-planning a career change financially can be just the ticket to success. Both St. Germain and Skillings, whose story was recently featured in the New York Times, propose that planning can provide the financial road map that takes career freedom from a dream to a reality.

No stranger to the publishing world, St. Germain was also a contributor to the book Just Give Me the Answer$: Expert Advisors Address Your Most Pressing Financial Questions, has written for Financial Planning Magazine, and been featured in Kiplingers, Doctor’s Digest and other publications.
